I personally don’t believe “Natural” interfaces HAVE to replicate what you’d do in real life with your hands. I mean a lot of things we do in real life are BAD for your hands and cause carpal tunnel.
I think this is taking the metaphor way too literally.
Being intuitive is not equal to “what you would in real life”. Intuitive should mean easy, regardless of the actual motion required to accomplish a task.
